Where is GALA Yuzawa?
GALA Yuzawa is in the town of Echigo Yuzawa in Niigata Prefecture. Located about 200kms to the north of Tokyo, the area is famous for its impressive snowfall, and with skiing from 1,181m down to 800m, GALA Yuzawa resort is the perfect place to enjoy the excellent snow conditions.

Getting to GALA is so easy
GALA Yuzawa has its own bullet train station right at the base of the resort. Step off the train, pick up your pass and gear and you're ready to go! It couldn't be easier. You can wake up in Tokyo and be on the slopes by 8 am!

Access From Narita
All you need to do is take the Narita Express to Tokyo station. This will whisk you there in only 53 minutes. At Tokyo station, follow signs for the Joetsu Shinkansen [Platforms 20-23] and take train named 'Max-Tanigawa' or 'Tanigawa'.
Tokyo station to GALA Yuzawa station is so convenient and stress-free. [The fastest Joetsu shinkansen is just 77 mins.]

Do you need a Ski Pass?
Get your ski pass from the info Counter as you come out of the station gate.
NB: To just play in the snow all you need is a return ticket for the Gondola.

Rental gear available from the Rental Counter on the same floor as the info Counter.
  Hou about a Lesson?
The Ski & Board School is located in the 'Cheers' building at the top of the Gondola.
